Nicole is a licensed psychotherapist and life coach helping clients build their confidence, master life transitions and connect to themselves. Her private practice is based in Los Angeles. She received her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University.

DORSA B. KAY

Co-Founder + New Mothers Club Director

Dorsa is a professor of neuroscience at CSUN. She is also a wife and a mother of two children.

MATTHEW HAVERIM

Programming Board Member + Ambassador

Matt earned degrees in Business, Advertising, and Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder. When he's not sitting behind a desk googling personal bio templates or at a construction site, he's usually dreaming about concerts and blueberry pancakes or talking about community, self acceptance and personal growth.

TARA KHOSHBIN

Programming Board Member + Ambassador

Tara is the Outreach Associate at Jewish Free Loan Association. She is currently an MBA candidate at American Jewish University studying non-profit management. She is a graduate of Pepperdine University and holds a BA in Political Science.

JOSEPH COHAN

Programming Board Member + Ambassador

Joe is a Los Angeles native, interested in all things aesthetic but when he is not designing he loves getting himself lost in new places and is a legitimate television enthusiast. He has been involved with local Jewish leadership groups including 30 Years After's Maher Fellowship, Birthright Israel Fellows, and Chaya. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects as a licensed California Architect.

SHARONA DANESHRAD

Programming Board Member + Ambassador

Sharona Daneshrad is an real estate attorney who represents investors and developers in the acquisition, financing and syndication of affordable housing projects throughout the US. A believer in the value of continuous personal growth, Sharona stands with the vision of Chaya and is eager to work towards breaking cultural and social barriers throughout the Iranian Jewish Community.

FARAH SHAMOLIAN

Co-Founder

Farah is a Public Health professional with a specialization in Community Health Sciences. She is currently the Director of IsraAID’s Humanitarian Professionals Network. Farah earned a graduate degree from The UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.

MATTHEW SHAYEFAR

Programming Board Member + Ambassador

Matt spends a lot of time lawyering and is grateful to love that “real” work he does too.  Matt joined Chaya because he values genuine and pointed conversations about ideas and he is constantly working on being a more open individual.  

JASMINE ELAZARI

Programming Board Member + Ambassador

Jasmine Elazari has her Psy.D from Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University. She teaches at the Chicago School and Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena.  She wrote her dissertation on The Relationship Between Mothers & Daughters in the Iranian Jewish Community: A Family Systems Perspective. 

LAUREN NAAMAN

Programming Board member + Ambassador

Lauren is a registered dietitian working in Los Angeles and passionate about health, wellness and positive body image within the Persian Jewish community. She believes in positive, open communication and sees Chaya as the safest place for individuals in our community to shine and evolve.

CARLY GHODSIAN

Carly is a creative and business-savvy marketing, public relations, and communications professional with years of progressive experience across a broad range of marketing and PR industries. She believes in challenging and encouraging development within each of us in order to grow together. Carly is excited to be on the Chaya board in hopes of inspiring our community to reach its fullest potential.
